Juan Contreras is a Colombian-Canadian visual artist and photographer based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His practice is rooted in observing the human experience through long-term photographic projects and visual explorations of memory, identity, movement, and urban life.

Movement and Stillness present ongoing visual explorations where movement and stillness become complementary ways of seeing. Through experimentation and contemplation, these series investigate light, gesture, time, and perception as expressive photographic language.

Urban Space (Observation)

Urban Space explores contemporary cities through street photography, architecture, and observation, revealing how people inhabit public space and how rhythm, geometry, light, and unrepeatable moments shape urban experience.
